ACTIVITY REPORT

OCTOBER  – NOVEMBER 1, 2002

 

ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL

 

·        96 items were considered by the ACC, 73 were approved and 23 were disapproved or deferred.

·        Four new homes and one commercial project were approved.

·        $8,070 in submission fees were collected from October 1st to October 25th and $67,350 in submission fees have been collected year to date.

 

COVENANT ENFORCEMENT

 

·        1149 properties being pursued; 148 issues resolved; no issues referred to legal.

·        Third motion for contempt (scheduled for November 8th) against property owner (issue: residential construction not completed).

·        Performing night light reviews.  Target completion date is November 15th.

·        Beginning renewal process of development lease signs.

 

COMMON PROPERTY

 

·        Winter color rotation completed.

·        23 new Bald Cypress were planted throughout the development.

·        Wildflower seeding was completed on the two southern quadrants of MacArthur Blvd. at SH114.

·        Litter control replacement (Theron Jones) hired.

·        New shrub bed installed at Hidalgo and Rochelle Blvd.

 

ALARM MONITORING/PATROL

 

·        Working on a direct mail piece for residential properties not currently being monitored to advise them the monitoring services are available as part of their annual assessments.

·        Completed a patrol vehicle cost comparison for use in determining upcoming purchases.

·        The department completed 307 account change forms and completed 10 new alarm set-ups. 

 

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

 

·         Developed support materials for a “Get Out the Vote” effort for use by Las Colinas residential villages.

·         Conducted four presentations to North Lake College Political Science classes.

·         Preparing for the November 8th community meeting with residential real estate professionals/title companies.

·         Co-coordinated the October 23rd Irving Town Hall Meeting/Candidates Forum.  The forum featured State Representative District 105 and Dallas County Judge Candidates.

 

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

 

·         Collected 98.54% ($5,799,933) of the 2002 annual assessments.

·         2003 budget process is underway.

·         Working on departmental goals for 2003.

·         Completed 40 statements of account, 7 estoppel certificates and 10 resale certificates.

·         Data base maintenance – 40 property ownership changes and 258 updates.
